Transport Planner Administrator

We are proud to be recruiting for a Transport Planner Administrator to join our client’s busy office to support the Transport Operations Manager and the team on a Temporary- Permanent basis based in Sandycroft (CH5).

 

Pay & Hours of Work:

·         Monday to Friday working 8:30am-5pm

·         £12.50 per hour

 

Responsibilities:

·         Dynamic route planning to ensure all our customer collections are completed

·         Effective communication with drivers and customers

·         Inputting data from duty of care/job cards onto our client’s internal system.

·         Issue purchase orders for maintenance and tyres

·         DVLA monthly Driving License checks

·         Update supplier spreadsheets when required with weights and records of jobs carried out

·         Assisting Transport Manager with day-to-day tasks to enable holiday cover

·         Checking suppler invoices against order log to ensure correct prices have been charged.

·         Assist in sending formal quotes when required.

 

Requirements

·         Transport planning experience is preferred as we need you to understand the unique pressures that impact our client’s day-to-day operation

·         There's a degree of flexibility needed in both working hours and core responsibility as this may change depending on workload and holiday cover.

·         Excellent organisation and communication skills so that you can build effective relationships with our client’s drivers, customers and the team

·         A full understanding of road transport regulations
