Product Tester

*PRODUCT TESTER, FLINT – DAY SHIFTS*

*PERMANENT VACANCY – £30K PER ANNUM*

In this role you will be responsible for the assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of electronic, mechanical, and electromechanical systems, subassemblies, and components. The role ensures functionality and compliance with specifications and procedures while identifying and resolving any failures.

 

Pay & Working Hours

• Monday to Friday working 8am-5pm
• £30,000 per annum

 

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret manuals, performance specifications, test schedules, schematics, wiring diagrams, and work orders
•  Cut, crimp, form, solder, and strip wires/cables for circuits and subassemblies
•  Operate test instruments such as ammeters, ohmmeters, oscilloscopes, resistance bridges, simulators, voltmeters, and automated/computerised test equipment
•  Analyse test data to determine faults, document defects, and perform component-level repairs where necessar
•  Configure and utilize test equipment to assess functionality, operation, and performance, including non-standard or customer-returned units
• Help to troubleshoot and resolve assembly and testing issues

 

Essential Skills

• Reading and understanding wiring diagrams and schematics is essential for this role
•  Understanding of ISO9001, ISO14001, and ISO14501 compliance requirements
• Qualification in an electrical discipline
• Proficiency in computer applications relevant to the role
• Awareness of Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) regulations
• Experience of using of handheld, electronic tools and soldering equipment
