Maintenance Technician

Site Location: Isleport, Highbridge TA9

Contract: Temporary (3 months)

Shift: Monday – Friday 8-4:30pm

Basic Pay Rate: £17.94 per hour

Due to continual business growth, gap personnel are currently seeking new team members to join the diverse, friendly, and passionate team at Yeo Valley. Based at their stunning site in Isleport, Highbridge, we are looking to recruit a Maintenance Technician.

As a Maintenance Technician you will be responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on the facility, equipment and property structures, in addition performing grounds maintenance. All work will be done in compliance with environmental and Health and Safety regulations.

 

As a Maintenance Technician:

·         Maintain site assets using CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System)

·         Complete preventative maintenance routines

·         Use problem-solving techniques and root cause analysis

·         Prioritize tasks to minimize operational impact

·         Deliver high-quality maintenance work and collaborate with teams

 

What are we looking for, from you?

·         Ensuring a safety-first culture and addressing root causes

·         Aptitude and application of knowledge and experience

·         Asset Management & Care with a reliability-centered approach

·         Fault Diagnosis and Resolution with an analytical mindset

·         Improving Logistics Capability through fault analysis and solution evaluation

 

Essential experience for the role is:

·         Experience of maintaining high standards of Health and Safety

·         Experience of maintenance best practices and demonstrable capability

·         Excellent level of IT literacy, including maintenance software (e.g., PEMAC)

·         Ability to communicate with people at all levels

·         Qualifications - BTEC and/or NVQ or equivalent in at least two disciplines (plumbing/HVAC, electrical maintenance)

 

Desirable experience

·         Knowledge of root cause analysis and problem resolution

·         Health & Safety qualification (IOSH or other recognised qualification)

·         Multi-site responsibility experience

·         Proactive communicator, able to express views and ideas at all levels

·         Knowledge of continuous improvement practices
