Job description
We are currently recruiting for a permanent warehouse operative with a FLT licence to join a well-established client based in port talbot.
Our client is a busy manufacturing company and as such, they are looking to add new members of staff to their team.
Contract: Perm
Shifts:
Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
6am – 6pm
33.7 hours a week
Salary: : £12.50 P/H
The main purpose of the role will be handling, picking, packing, stock management, and utilising warehouse management systems.
Responsibilities and Activities
- Handle incoming and outgoing shipments, including loading and unloading lorries.
- Pick and pack orders accurately and efficiently.
- Manage stock levels and conduct regular stock checks.
- Utilise systems for inventory tracking
- Perform heavy lifting tasks as required
- Assist in shipping and receiving processes
- Assemble products or components as needed
- Utilise mechanical knowledge for equipment maintenance
Essential Skill Requirements
- Previous experience in a warehouse setting.
- Proficiency in using Warehouse Management Systems
- Effective planning and organisational skills, with the ability to be flexible and reprioritise work as needed.
- Ability to handle heavy items and perform physical tasks.
- Be Capable of working alone whilst also being an affective team player.
- Fork lift Licence – Essential
